A Professional Rain Gauge helps you measure rainfall in millimeters over a set period, usually 24 hours. The outer housing collects excess rain up to 250mm until measured separately in the tube. Additional rain overflows into the outer cylinder when the measuring tube is full. Pour the rainwater from the outer cylinder into the measuring tube, and you read the amount of rain you have received. Get accurate readings from the measurements of 1mm increments.
Our Professional Rain Gauge is supplied with stainless steel screws and a rainfall chart. The instrument is made from UV-stabilised materials. The top of the gauge or funnel has a larger surface area than the top of the measuring cylinder. A funnel top on the rain gauge catches rain and delivers it to a one-inch measuring tube. The extra-large outer cylinder captures rain volumes over one inch up to 11 inches and can be detached to measure snow, hail, or sleet. The Stratus is accurate to 1/100th of an inch.
Installing the rain gauge on a post (away from buildings and trees) is easy with its exclusive “Quick Connect” bracket, which lets you quickly remove the cylinder for easy measurement or cleaning (and there are no metal parts to rust). It’s a Professional Rain Gauge made to last. Pick up an extra one for a friend—they’ll thank you.
