A Total Station is an electronic/optical instrument used in modern surveying and building construction. It uses an electronic transit theodolite in conjunction with an electronic distance meter (EDM). The station is also integrated with a microprocessor, electronic data collector, and storage system.
This is a unique and innovative Ruide EDM technology, which enables R2 Series Total Station to deliver an accurate and long non-prism distance range of up to 800m within a a stunningly fast measuring speed of 0.3s. A 4km distance with a prism can be easily achieved with a high precision of 2mm+2ppm.
