The Optical Square (also known as a Double Right Angle Prism) uses the principle of double reflection to establish perfect perpendicular lines. It contains two mirrors or prisms fixed at exactly 45° to each other, ensuring that the light ray emerging from the device is at a perfect 90° angle to your baseline.
